I know how it can feel walking into a yoga studio for the first time. My teaching vibe is all about inclusivity. My aim is for you to feel safe, supported and comfortable. Yoga is for everybody.
As an experienced teacher I may never be able to achieve the perfect handstand, but a complete beginner may be able to drop down into full splits on their first attempt. All bodies are different and in my humble opinion there is no such thing as an 'advanced' pose or a 'full variation' of one.
I teach in-person where I live in Shrewsbury and I will be hosting a number of UK retreats and workshops throughout 2024. Soul Circle (my online studio and community) is now live. It's designed for all walks-of-life who are interested in developing their yoga practice in a supportive and empathetic environment.
My own physical practice has gone from one extreme to the other (and back again) over the years. I began teaching Ashtanga yoga, a dynamic and rigorous practice. While I still enjoy practicing stronger styles of yoga, I have come to find peace and stability in slower and more restorative styles, especially after having my children.
Working from the inside out, paying careful attention to the foundations and adopting a mindful approach to movement has become my ethos.
The magic of the mental benefits of yoga will creep in without you even realising.
Come practice with me and discover the true beauty of yoga, how it can be adapted and tailored to each person, and that yoga truly is meant for every single one of us.
